Strasburg, VA ~ October 23rd-25th

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.  Trust ye in the LORD forever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength"
Isaiah 26:3-4

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to travel up to a church in Strasburg, VA.

No wonder they call it Fancy Gap!  We enjoyed the mountain scenery...

...when we were awake. : )  Thankfully, the driver did stay awake the whole way.  Wouldn't want another of those experiences!

The leaves were prettier once we got into VA.

The beautiful Shenandoah River

Sunday morning, we played the offertory, and then Sunday night they gave us pretty much the whole service for music, presenting our ministry, and for Daddy to preach.

It was raining when we left Monday morning.  Not the best weather for traveling
The fog was so thick, you could about cut it with a knife!

But the low hanging clouds made Fancy Gap all that much prettier.

We actually got home during daylight hours, which is extremely unusual but a very welcome change.  It felt funny to be unpacking without the need of flashlights and to get in bed at a decent hour....almost like we hadn't been gone at all. : )

  3. I made it home yesterday instead of today. I didn't take any pictures this time - but I did enjoy the beauty! I suppose you all don't need to have the driver take the pictures. It works for me though I suppose it isn't the best way to drive!!
