Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!!!

"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise."
Psalm 51:7,16-17

The Lord has blessed us with more beautiful snow!  It began falling sometime in the wee hours of the morning, and by the time we woke up this morning, the ground was already covered.

It has been COLD the past few days, so the ground was well prepared for every flake of snow to stick.  There has been some traffic, but most people around here are staying home leaving the roads as a great place to ride 4-wheelers and such like. : )

 It's cold out here!!!!!

 Ready and waiting....
Dad and Ray had some local work ~ actually only a couple blocks from our house ~ so they didn't have to take a snow day.
(Ha! Ha! Ray just passed by the computer, saw the picture, and said "No, we are not going sledding tonight." Sounds like he's ready to stay by the fire for a little while.)

Our view from the dining room window

Fudge has found a nice shelter from "that weird white stuff that freezes my paws". : )
Two of the cats have been at both doors begging to come in all day.  Every now and then they successfully dart past us when we open the door, purr ever so loudly when we pick them up (all the while we're thinking, "You wouldn't be purring so loudly if you knew why we picked you up..."), and back out the door they go.  Sounds cruel, doesn't it? : )  But they have plenty of warm places outside.

4 1/2 inches as of about 10:15 this morning.

Most of the day it's been snowing lightly.  Last measured it was 5 inches.  It stopped a little while ago and started a light sporadic rain.  It's supposed to change back to snow and accumulate several more inches.  We'll see.....
Gotta love that snow!!!!!

  1. I suppose on that first blog about snow there wasn't enough to actually go sledding on. Did you actually get some sledding in?? I am also extremely thankful that you have the snow and NOT me! I would rather be warm right now!
